So today we touch on a subject that hits at the heart of why many of us restrain our worship. Why we would never bow down in worship if others could see us. Why we refuse to raise our hands or appear to excited during worship.
I know this one well because I struggle with it. It is the sin of pride. And one of it shows up is in fear of others.
Proverbs 29:25 warns us that the “fear of man” is a snare. When David chose to dance before God ,his wife thought he looked like a fool. But he responds in 2 Samuel 6:22, “I will humble myself even more and humiliate myself.” David was not afraid to look foolish when praising God.
If we are going to worship God with our bodies as well as our minds, then we need to stop worrying about what other people think. Don't let your fear of others – don't let your pride keep you from fully worshiping God.
