Praise is powerful!
This is the last video on praise. At least for now 🙂
Praise increases our joy, it ushers us into the presence of God, it changes our perspective, it places God on the throne and it defeats the enemy.
In 2 Chronicles King Jehoshaphat of Israel prepares to go out to war against a great army. God has promised him victory. So King Jehoshaphat places the musicians in the front of the army and they go out to war singing praise to God. And in verse 22 we read,
“The moment they began their shouts and praises, the Lord set an ambush against the Ammonites, Moabites, and the inhabitants of Mount Seir who came to fight against Judah, and they were defeated.”
The enemy ended up fighting among themselves and by the time the army reached the battle field the enemy was already defeated.
When we praise God the enemy flees. When we place God on the throne with our praises, there is no room left for the enemy. We may not see it yet. But God has already won the victory for us.
