Yes, I know I said that in the last video, but we are not done yet. Praise increases our joy, it ushers us into the presence of God, it changes our perspective and it lifts God to His rightful place.
Psalm 22:3 tells us that God is enthroned on the praises of Israel.
When we praise God we create a throne for Him to sit on. You see, our problem is that we like to sit on the throne in our lives. We like to be the sovereign of our lives. We want everything to be about us and and we want everything to be under our control.
Of course, if you have lived very long at all, you realize this isn't going to happen. And yet we continue to fight and strive to try to make life work the way we want it to. And we become angry and frustrated when it doesn't.
But praise changes everything. When we praise God, we take ourselves off the throne and we put God where He belongs. We set aside our goals and we submit to God's sovereign hand.
Do you want peace and joy in your life? Get off the throne and praise God. Hand everything over to Him and let Him take control. Do it now. Don't wait! Start praising God. He is ready to take control. Are you ready to give it up?
