Psalm 68:32 says, “Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; sing praise to the Lord”. This is only one example, but we can find verse after verse in scripture calling us to worship God.
As God's people, we are encouraged, even commanded, to praise God. Worship is not an optional activity that you squeeze into your life every other Sunday. It is an essential aspect of the Christian life that should be part of your every day experience. In fact, Jesus said it is the most important commandment:
to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
Your Sunday worship service should be a gathering of everyday worshipers – each coming from a week of personal worship to join with others and enjoy God's presence together.
I hope that you have already grown in your love for God enough that you choose to meet with Him everyday. But if not, now is the time to take this command seriously. You need a daily time with God to worship Him, read His Word, listen to Him and talk with Him.
