WAC Update 4

WAC Gradient

The Worship Arts Conservatory fundraiser has only nine days left.  So far we have raised $1,956.  What will we do with these funds?

  • Our first priority is IRS nonprofit approval. We were waiting for some amendments to our articles to be filed by the state.  The amendments were posted by the state on Friday so now we can proceed with completing and filing our 1023 form.  This will cost us about $1,500.
  • We are also in the process of finalizing our program offerings.  Each certificate, diploma and degree has to be carefully developed to meet accreditation requirements, have the correct number of credits and develop the necessary skills.  With the assistance of Nathan Platt, Worship and College Pastor at Cornerstone Church, we feel we can do this for very little cost.  Nathan has experience in developing college programming and has offered to help guide us through this process.
  • Should the funds be available we will seek licensing from the State of Michigan as a proprietary school.  This is the necessary first step to becoming a college.  Applying for this license will cost approximately $1,500.

If you have not yet given or would like to help us with a second contribution, please go to our fundraising page before May 22.  Thanks you for your prayers and help in this project.
