Hitting the Target
When people practice archery they usually set up a target to shoot. The reason for a target is pretty obvious. It is simply a tool to check our accuracy. The target gives us a point of reference. The closer our arrow lands to the center of the target, the more accurate our shot.
A strategic plan is like a target. It give an organization a reference point to aim towards. We can look at our plan and then check our actions and statistics and see if we are on or off target.
Recently I have been posting on WAC's 2018-2019 Strategic Plan. So far I have posted on the Overall Plan, Priority 1: Internships and the Priority of Finances.
Our Strategic Plan has five key priorities:
- Internships
- Finances
- Volunteers
- Enrollment
- Location
Today I have chosen to talk about the Priority of Volunteers.
The Target
Our goal is to have 10 active volunteers by Fall 2018 and to double that by Fall 2019. Our strategic plan includes some rather lofty goals and we know that we cannot reach those goals without your help.
How Can I Help?
We have set up a volunteer page with a list of possible ways you could assist us. The page has tasks separated by time commitment and type of task so you can easily find a task that fits you.
