I signed up for MUS-251: Instrumental Ensemble this summer, and can not say enough about the experience. What an honor and blessing to perform with such talented musicians on a rich blend of full orchestral and contemporary worship pieces from the 1600’s to the 2000’s. Will definitely sign up again! Who do you know that used to play a band instrument? Make them happy by sharing this with them.
We all know someone who used to play in high school or college band and now their instrument is collecting dust in a closet somewhere. Maybe you are one of those people.
The person I am thinking of loves music, but now doesn’t have a good place to play. This person would really enjoy getting together with a group to make music but it seems like the only bands out there want guitar players. Who wants a clarinet or euphonium player?
We do! Worship Arts Conservatory has a wind ensemble and we would love to add more players.
So pass this on to someone you know who needs to dust off their instrument. Help them find the joy of making music once again.
The first step is to apply as a student. The application is free, so apply today!
P.S. Did I describe you? Dust off your instrument and come join the band!
P.P.S. Don’t know what instruments are in a band? Here is a list:
Woodwinds: Piccolo, Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Saxophone
Brass: Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Euphonium, Tuba
Percussion: tambourine, cymbals, drums, bells, xylophone, etc.
Know someone who plays one of the above instruments? Then please share this with them!
