Feed Your Inner Artist This Summer

Has your inner artist been grumbling lately? Feed it a healthy course of artistic design!

This summer Worship Arts Conservatory is offering a course on artistic design. If you have a love for art, but have never really developed the skill to go along with it, this is a great course for you.

What skills do I need to have?

Our Design I course requires no previous artistic experience. Design I is about the elements that go into an effective abstract picture. You don’t have to be a great natural artist to enjoy this course. You will learn how to use your imagination and simple concepts to create engaging abstract designs.

What will I learn?

  • Learn how to use the elements of line, shape, pattern, texture, space, motion, value and color in an effective design.
  • Learn how the principles of unity, emphasis, focal point, scale, proportion, balance, rhythm, contrast and hierarchy work together in creating a design.
  • Learn about various art movements and concepts by studying artists and their work.
  • Acquire a basic knowledge of art terminology.

How long is it?

The course is 12 weeks long. It begins May 9 and ends July 29. Since the course is online you can easily fit it into your summer schedule.

What will it cost?

Design I only costs $150. That is only $12.50 per week for college training in art.
